Compiling comprehensive reports can often be time-consuming and challenging, especially when there is a range of rules and regulations you need to observe. This is where having templates and report guides make it easier.
For example, when you need to report on and outline your stakeholder and community involvement, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards become very useful.
Each series relates to a different area of an organization; from universal standards to environmental, social, and economic standards. To manage and report on your community and social impacts, the 400 series of the GRI Standards apply. It includes topic-specific Standards used to report information on an organization’s material impacts related to social topics, where the GRI 413 Local Communities standard specifically applies to community and social activities.
GRI 413: Local Communities 2016 sets out reporting requirements on the topic of local communities. This Standard can be used by an organization of any size, type, sector or geographic location that wants to report on its impacts related to this topic.
