Why do we need to manage risks?
It’s important to know and understand what risks are present in your workforce to be able to minimise and mitigate against them in the future. This involves the process of identifying what risks your workplace has, and assessing them to determine how each would be best proactively managed.
The aim is to promote risk prevention, to ensure incidents don’t occur in the first place. Yet when they do, you will have to be prepared to manage them effectively, and assure that no further risks would occur as a result.
