We’ve made the rounds and spoke to our teams across our Perth, Brisbane, and Canadian offices to share with you what makes our people tick and why they do what they do.
Let’s meet Joseph.
1. What is your role, why did you join INX, and how long have you been here?
I am the Business Analyst and Scrum Master and have been at INX for a quick year now. I joined INX to focus and utilize my experience to be in a position which allows me to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at different technical levels. This joint role also allows me to work with various teams to provide the best value to clients. It has been a great opportunity to strengthen my BA and Scrum Master skills as well as assist with Product Management and Strategy.
2. What is a memorable customer/story you’d like to share?
When visiting a client for a design and workflow session the meeting room had no whiteboards or TVs to map out workflows so we resorted to drawing on the windows.
3. What interesting things has your job allowed you to do?
I have been fortunate to travel to one of our client sites and temporarily experience the life of a FIFO worker. I enjoyed the tour of the open cut mine, getting to know the workers on-site and also the abundance of food in the mess hall of course.
4. What’s one piece of advice that has helped you in what you do today?
I use the wisdom gained from personal previous experiences as a developer and team lead and always recognize that there is also a wealth of knowledge available in your fellow colleagues which is valuable.
5. Your favourite inspirational quote:
Always promote open feedback from your peers and clients so you can continually improve yourself and the products you can influence. Enjoy the challenge of solving a problem.
