"Since using INX we have eliminated duplication by more than 80% when it comes to risk and safety information. We have introduced a number of new statistics and documents to better manage our risk and increase our compliance with both company and legislative standards. I strongly recommend INX."

We spoke to Columbus Stainless about their need for a workforce management solution to improve their compliance, reduce their risk and increase their productivity.
What were you using to previously manage your health, safety, training and compliance?
We were previously using an in-house developed system which was basically spreadsheet-based and our I.T. department could not add logical process flows or intelligence to the system without rebuilding it from scratch. There were a number of other limitations with this including a lack of intelligence, back-up and support and poor scalability to match our expanding operations.
What criteria were set when purchasing a new solution?
We were looking for a commercial off-the-shelf solution which offered configuration and flexibility to adapt to our changing requirements. It had to offer best practice and ensure a structured management approach which INX did.
What have been some notable changes from using the solution by INX?
The use of the system forced us to create order in all other support systems in our Company. Older systems tend to run on Excel-based tables whereas INX uses an intelligent “Tree Structure”. This eliminated duplication by more than 80% in the system, particularly in risk assessments. A large number of new statistics and documents have also been formulated since the implementation of INX. We created high-level risk assessments as well as the control/training mechanism used is specifications, which is derived from the risk assessment controls. These are company standards and can only be changed by an appointed panel to ensure great standardisation, consistency and the overall reduction of risks and increase in compliance.
How would you describe the training and implementation services provided to you during the project?
The training and implementation was excellent as is the current support. INX are always available and has on more than one occasion walked the extra mile for our company.
Why would you recommend INX?
INX not only provides a solution that meets our requirements and ensures greater compliance and reduced risk but they have the service to match. I strongly recommend INX and would be happy to act as a reference anytime.
Columbus Stainless have implemented INX InControl for health, safety and compliance management and INX InTuition for skills, training and learning management.
