INX InControl

Q: Can INX InControl increase compliance and across which international standards?

A: INX InControl provides the tools your organization needs to support attainment and certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 as well as adoption of other system frameworks such as ISO 31000 and ISO 19600.

Q: Why is the Lead Investigator dropdown blank once I have assigned a Lead Investigator?

A: The Lead Investigator dropdown on the Investigations tab is not an auto populated box, and a Lead Investigator will need to be selected. As you can Proceed to Assign Lead Investigator to two different people one will need to be selected in this box.

Q: No batched or Immediate Notifications are being sent?

A: This can be due to the Scheduler being stopped. You can restart the Scheduler through the Scheduler Administration page. If the Scheduler button displays as START then your Scheduler has stopped, and you will need to click the button so it displays as STOP. You will now receive notification as normal.

Q: How do I look at an overview of the data entered for an event, especially for approvers and those people closing out an event report?

A: At the bottom of the Report Close Out tab is a plus sign with the description of Display Event Summary. Clicking on this shows all the data entered for the event including thumbnails of any photos uploaded.

Q: How do we restrict access to documents which have been uploaded to an event?

A: Unticking the Publish flag in the Documents tab stops people not specifically assigned to the event such as event readers and actionees from opening an attachment. People with Editor security level or above can see the contents of these documents so it is important to consider this when deciding whether highly confidential documents are uploaded or not.

Q: How can I turn on/off pop-up’s in the checklist?
A: Administrators can configure a checklist to be “Simple” which means that no pop-ups will display when completing this tab within an event. When completing a response, the selection will be entered directly into the field as displayed. If this check-box is not ticked, an Action Editor pop-up will display upon selection of the response, allowing diagrams to be displayed and actions to be added. Users can then move on to the next question.

Q: Why can’t I view rooms when selecting the ‘Rooms’ tab?

A: Some users are unable to view rooms when they have not been assigned the correct camp security level. Your administrator can go into the ‘Administration’ menu item and bring up ‘Camp Security’. From here add/edit the person, select the appropriate camp that they are authorized to view rooms for and press save.

Q: Why can’t other users see the reports I can view?

A: This occurs when a certain security level (e.g. Reader, Editor) has not been assigned the appropriate level of report security. Your Administrator can go into the ‘Administration’ menu item and bring up 'Reports'. To provide access to a specific report type, click on this link. Click on the edit icon for the relevant report (displayed in the "Report" field) and select "Yes" from the dropdown for the appropriate security level. Tick to save.

Q: I have added a roster to a person’s profile, clicked ‘Save’, then ‘Build’; so why is the roster is not building?

A: Ensure the commencement date field is populated. The commencement date field is found both on the Rosters tab and the Personal Details tab. The roster will then build properly.

Q: How can I quickly make a booking, or transfer a booking, for a group of people?
A: Users with Editor or Administrator security can create a Favourites List of People and use this when completing an ad hoc booking. In this example we have navigated to the ‘People’ page and the Favourites section is available to expand. You can then select people and enter the List Name and select Add. This will automatically default to being private and after searching again, you can select this from the ‘Favourites List’. This list can be used within:
•    Daily Activity Status
•    Adhoc Booking
•    People
•    Reports (applicable) eg. staff & ERT leave planner

A: Use the AdHoc Booking > Revert to Planned setting for the desired date range.

Q: I need to update certain information to a lot of people; is there a quicker and more efficient way of managing this instead of doing so one by one?
A: Proceed to Administration, and then to Group Maintenance to make your desired updates.
