Introducing our rebuilt InControl Mobile app

We have rebuilt the InControl Mobile app to lay the foundation for future features, improvements and fixes. Our latest release offers optimised performance, smoother navigation, and improved consistency across a broader range of your mobile devices while still maintaining features and enhancements introduced in previous releases.

Improvements

Updated framework for enhanced performance

Through rebuilding our InControl mobile app, we have updated its framework from Xamarin to Ionic—improving performance, enhancing responsiveness, and ensuring better screen adaptability across a wider range of mobile devices.

Improved login experience between organisations and environments

Our latest version of InControl mobile continues to support multiple accounts while streamlining the login experience. You can now stay logged in without needing to frequently reauthenticate, providing a smoother transition across organisations and environments.

Simplified favourite management in the People and Workgroup tabs

We have improved the process for managing favourites, now organised within the People and Workgroups tabs—making them easier to find and manage.

Clearer error messaging for invalid entries

Error messages have been improved to provide clearer explanations for invalid entries. This improvement ensures that users receive more specific feedback to help them identify and resolve errors more efficiently.

Added support for bulk document uploads

To help simplify the document management process, you can now select and upload multiple documents at once—replacing the previous limitation of one document per upload.

Improved draft event handling

Previously, when returning to a draft event, users were taken back to the first page. The InControl mobile app now remembers the last position within the event, enabling users to pick up exactly where they left off for a more efficient navigation experience.

Fixes

Clearer indication of mandatory fields

All mandatory fields are now clearly indicated with an asterisk (*), ensuring users can easily identify the required information before submission of the form.

Improved custom fields display

In the legacy version of the InControl mobile app, all custom fields were displayed regardless of event context. In our latest release, custom fields now appear only when relevant, creating a cleaner layout and making forms easier to navigate.

Improved event loading for a smoother user experience

We have improved event loading to enable a smoother and more consistent experience when filtering and browsing.

Prevention of duplicate event entries in offline mode

Previously, submitting events offline and reconnecting to the internet caused duplicate entries in the legacy app. Our latest release ensures that only a single event is recorded, even when working offline and later connecting to the internet.
