SubscribeNew Power BI starter model for INX InControl risk data and simplified compatibility with INX Core
Available from 15 February 2024
New features
New Power BI starter model for INX InControl risk data
We have introduced a new Power BI starter model featuring example dashboards that showcase INX InControl risk data from INX+BI.
This model includes a comprehensive set of data such as Actions, Activities, Categories, Controls, Details (unwanted events), Pre-cursor Consequences, Ratings (with the Risk Matrix), and Tasks.
Improvements
Simplified compatibility with INX Core
Previously, INX+BI needed separate versions to align with each version change in INX Core. To simplify your user experience, we have enhanced INX+BI to work seamlessly with just a single version.
Release notes summary added to starter model Intro pages
For quick and convenient reference, we have added a summary of the main INX+BI release notes at the top of the Power BI starter model Intro pages.
Updated contact references for feedback and support access
To streamline access to our feedback and support lines, we have updated our contact references to include the INX+BI Canny link and INX Support email.
Event Participant Occupation-related fields are now available in Analytical View vw_BI_EventParticipant
We have enhanced the analytical view vw_BI_EventParticipant by adding three new fields — ‘Occupation Class Id’, ‘Occupation Name’, and ‘Occupation Active’ — to automatically include details on participants’ occupation classes, sourced from the Dim_OccupationClasses table.
Fixes
Responsibility data now aligns with INX Core
The field RE_Detail in the table InForm.Dim_Responsibilities is now accurately populated and aligns with INX Core data.
Updated All Measures table in the INX InTuition Power BI starter model
To ensure a cleaner dataset, the INX InTuition Power BI starter model’s All Measures table has been updated to include only the valid measures Max Date and Min Date.
Enhanced Date table with ISO 8601 compliance
The Dt_WeekDaySequence field in the Date table has been updated to align with the Dt_WeekStart field, now adhering to the International Standard ISO 8601, designating Monday as the start of the week.
Improved date consistency in Power BI reports
We have addressed a difference between the data warehouse (DWH) table Dim_Date, the analytical view vw_BI_Date, and the Power BI Date table that led to issues with dates in some views and Power BI reports. To maintain consistency and eliminate discrepancies, we have updated Power BI to use the view that in turn uses the table Dim_Date.
Fixed duplicate INX InFlight ‘Site’ in the InFlight_Dim_Site DWH table
We have resolved the issue with duplicate INX InFlight sites that share the same name, ensuring that sites are now loaded into the data warehouse (DWH) by their site ID rather than name. This adjustment prevents duplicates from occurring with sites that share the same name, and now the DWH sites accurately reflect the source data from INX InFlight.
Resolved Risk Priority ID mismatch on DWH Risk tables
We have resolved a difference between the Risk Priority ID fields in the DWH tables Risk.Risk and Risk.Dim_Risk where they did not match. This improvement ensures that the fields now match accurately with the data in INX Core.
Improved data relationships in the INX InForm Power BI starter model
The INX InForm Power BI starter model has been enhanced with updated linking tables, ensuring a complete and accurate data model.
INX InControl deleted events are now flagged correctly
We have resolved an issue where non-deleted events in INX InControl were incorrectly flagged as “deleted” in INX+BI, ensuring accurate alignment between the two solutions.
