The Version Upgrade Process
An upgrade from your existing version to the latest INX version will take place on a test environment to ensure that there are no unexpected business interruptions before upgrading the production environment and to give the key users an opportunity to explore the new features.
In most instances of an upgrade, upgrade training is conducted which can be held at our office or yours. The duration of this training will depend on how many versions behind the current one you are and if you. The training will go through in detail all of the new features in INX for your corresponding modules and how these can be configured. It also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions about other areas of the system while you have the training on hand.
User acceptance testing (UAT)
Once you have been trained on how all the new features work, you can go through them on your test environment to make sure they are working as you expect and to ensure that nothing seems out of place in other key areas of the system before progressing to the production upgrade.
When you’re happy with everything you have seen in your test environment we will schedule in an upgrade to your production environment. This generally requires an outage so we work with you to ensure we select a time that has the least impact on business as usual.
