New features

 

Automatic SMS Notifications Upon Check-In

We’ve introduced a new feature that enables automatic SMS notifications to be sent to arrivals when they are checked in via the SAM > Accommodation Arrivals page. When enabled, an SMS will be automatically triggered upon check-in, providing arrivals with key accommodation details. This feature enhances communication and ensures a smoother arrival experience.

To activate this feature, the following SAM parameters must be configured:

• SendSMSOnCheckin – Enables or disables SMS notifications upon check-in (Values: Y/N)
• SendSMSOnCheckin_Template – Defines the SMS template used for messages sent upon check-in.
• Example template: Hi <#Profile.FullName>, You have been checked into <#Booking.Room>.
• SmsPlaceHolder – Enables the use of dynamic placeholders in SMS messages (Values: Y/N)

With these settings, the system can deliver personalised messages automatically, improving operational efficiency and guest experience.

Room Number Search Added to the SAM Global Search Bar

We’ve enhanced the SAM global search bar to support room-specific searches, making it faster and easier to access key room-related information.

Here is what we have introduced:

• A new “Rooms” category has been added to the global search bar, allowing users to filter search results by room number.
• Searching by room number now returns direct links to relevant pages, including Room Search, Bookings by Room, and Cleaning History.
• Clicking a result takes users directly to the corresponding SAM page, preloaded with details for the specified room.

This update improves navigation efficiency and helps users quickly locate room-specific data.

Send SMS from the Accommodation Departure Page

We’ve introduced a new feature in SAM that allows users to easily select and send SMS messages to departing guests from the Accommodation Departure page. This enhancement enables bulk SMS communication as part of the check-out process, streamlining guest notifications and improving operational efficiency.

New Transport Navigation Enhancements

We’ve introduced powerful new navigation capabilities on the Transport Schedule page to streamline your workflow and improve accessibility.

Within the Transport Types – Active view, a new Quick Actions menu is now available for each scheduled transport. This menu allows you to navigate directly to five key pages related to a single transport:

• Manage Booking Sequence (Seat Swap)
• Reschedule Multiple People
• Send SMS
• View Carrier Bookings (available when the transport is configured with a booking interface)
• View Manifest

When an option is selected, the relevant booking data is pre-populated in the target screen, enabling faster and more efficient task completion. This update simplifies navigation and enhances your ability to manage transport operations from a single, central location.

Kiosk Manage Bookings – Flight Availability Indicators

We’ve enhanced the Workforce Kiosk App for users with access to the Manage Bookings feature. Users can now see flight availability indicators presented as traffic light icons, making it easier to identify transports with available seats at a glance.

• Red = 0 seats available
• Yellow = 5 or fewer seats available
• Green = 6 or more seats available

This visual enhancement simplifies the booking process and helps users make informed transport selections more efficiently.
 

Improvements

 

Improved Optimisation Status Visibility by Room Type

We’ve enhanced the Room Types table accessible via Admin > Accommodation > Room Types to now display the Optimisation Status for each room type. This improvement allows users to easily identify which room types have optimisation enabled, making it easier to compare room types at a glance and streamline room management.

Improved Room Lock Visibility in Room Search

We’ve enhanced the visibility of room locks when searching for rooms via Bookings | Room | Search | By Room. Now, when users select a room lock name in the search results, they will be directed to the Room Lock page, where all rooms associated with that room lock are displayed.

Previously, users were unable to view the full list of room numbers within a room lock. This update provides greater transparency and easier access to room details.

Final Approver Group Data Added to Reporting

The Workforce Reporting report SRF277 Completed Workflow has been enhanced with a new column: Final Approver Group.
This column displays the final approver group associated with each completed workflow, provided final approver groups have been configured. If no final approver groups are set up, this field will remain empty. This enhancement offers greater transparency and insight into workflow approvals.

Virtual Rooms Now Included in SRF295 Vacant Rooms Report

The SRF295 Vacant Rooms Report has been updated to now include virtual rooms. This enhancement ensures more comprehensive reporting by capturing all room, both physical and virtual, within the vacancy data.

Workflow reactivate account request

We have improved the request form, when Workflow requestors select the “reactivate my account” link, to now include mandatory fields required within a Workflow user account. These fields can be configured in SAM, on the profile fields page, under the WorkflowNewAccount Category.

New Quartex branding in the SAM Suite

We’re excited to introduce our new branding within the SAM Suite as part of our transition to Quartex. While our name has changed, our commitment to delivering quality service and support remains stronger than ever. As part of this update, you’ll notice the new Q SAM logo in your application banner, reflecting our refreshed identity.
 

Fixes

 

Task Panel accuracy for Shift changes

We’ve resolved an issue affecting the accuracy of the “Days Away” calculation in the Task Panel. Previously, when a document included a shift change that occurred before a transport change, the Days Away value was incorrectly calculated based on the transport date, rather than the earlier shift date. This fix ensures that the Days Away metric now correctly reflects the earliest applicable change, improving accuracy for the Workflow Task Panel.

Folio Reschedule Accommodation Error Resolved

We have resolved an issue where accommodation details were being incorrectly removed from a folio document during the rescheduling process. This error prevented Final Approvers from successfully processing reschedule documents. The system now retains accommodation data correctly, ensuring smooth approval workflows.
