New Features

 

Hide Room status in Workflow

On the Room Status page in SAM, a new column named “Workflow Visible to Requestor” has been introduced. This new feature gives SAM users more control over which Room Statuses are visible to Workflow requestors.

As a note, by default, all room statuses are visible. However, if a SAM user unselects a status in this column, it will no longer be displayed or available for selection by Workflow requestors when submitting a request.

This new feature provides greater flexibility in managing room status visibility, ensuring that requestors only see options that are relevant and valid for their workflow.

 

Multiple Bookings now handle different travel dates and transports

We are pleased to announce the first stage of enhancements to the Multiple Bookings functionality in SAM. Users can now download a booking template, enter details for multiple bookings with different combinations of travel dates, camps and transports, then upload the file back into SAM.

A results table will then display all bookings, allowing users to review and update details as needed before processing and creating bookings in a single step.

This new feature streamlines complex travel arrangements, saves time by reducing repetitive manual entry, and reduces errors when managing varied schedules and transport options.

Carrier Booking Page – Audit Details Enhancement

We’ve enhanced the Carrier Booking page in SAM by adding transport audit details. From the details page of a specific flight, users can now click on the traveller’s SAM # to access their Transport History.

This provides a comprehensive transaction history for the flight, giving you greater visibility into booking and status activity.

Improved access to existing bookings in Workflow

We’ve enhanced the Workflow experience by making it easier to open a traveller’s profile in a new tab.

On the Links | Existing Booking page within Workflow, users can now right-click when they select the traveller and choose “Open link in new tab”.

The traveller’s existing booking will open in a new tab without triggering a page-blocking error, enabling smoother multitasking and easier navigation.

Improved grouping of bookings for Final Approvers

Final approvers in Workflow will now see related bookings grouped together in Folio documents.

This enhancement provides clearer visibility into how bookings are connected, making requests easier to review, supporting faster and more accurate decision-making.

Workforce Reports – Option to run using offline data

We have introduced a new option in all SRF reports that allows users to run reports using offline data. Offline data comes from the previous night’s backup and may be up to 24 hours old.

This option is especially effective when running reports over large historical date ranges, as it reduces system load and improves performance without affecting current data.

Corrected Reporting on Roster Setup Report

We have identified an issue where the SRF279 Cleaning Roster Setup report did not display rosters when the First Clean Day was set to 0.

This has now been addressed, and any existing data in SAM where the first day clean is set to 0 – will now appear on this report.

In addressing this improvement, we’re also introducing several improvements to roster setup and validation.

These now include the following:

• SRF335 Core Data will now also include roster data where the first day clean is set to 0.
• Improved Validation: When creating a new roster type, when adding cleaning days, the First Clean Day must be greater than 0 if a Clean Type is set.
• Enforced Setup Rules: Users can no longer skip the Cleaning Days setup step after creating a Roster.

 

Fixes

 

Fixed an error when conducting a Room Search in a Group Booking

We resolved an issue where users were unable to open a Group Booking when searching by room number.

Previously, selecting a group booking from “View room bookings by room” caused a SAM site error instead of navigating to the Group Booking details page.

This has now been fixed, and users can successfully select a group booking and view its details when searching by room number.

Fix for Days Away Calculation in the Workflow Task Panel

We have resolved an issue in the Workflow Task panel where the Days Away calculation for Folio Documents was incorrect when a shift change occurred before a transport change. The calculation now works as expected.

Reschedule Multiple Sort by Person

We fixed an issue that prevented users from sorting the Reschedule Multiple page by Person. This functionality is now working as expected.
