Matt Faries, Chief Technology Officer
In our line of work at INX Software, we’re fortunate to play an intrinsic role in some of the largest, most complex, and remote operations on the globe — and that makes for an incredible classroom.
Over the past 20 years, we have built a portfolio of products that are critical to the day-to-day operations and compliance of our clients, from management of site access to mobilisation of remote workforces, to monitoring and reporting on environmental performance.
In my time with the company, there have been three key lessons that I think emerge from our experience with these clients.
Lesson number one: certainty is priceless.
When you’re orchestrating vast remote workforces and managing operations that make billionaires blink, you need a software partner that’s in it for the long haul. Our clients aren’t just planning for the next quarter; they’re looking at the long game. We’re proud to say we’ve been that steadfast partner, always ready to go the distance.
The second lesson is that: reliability is crucial. If software falters, the repercussions are potentially staggering, costing businesses millions for lost days of production.
And let’s not forget that in many sectors, software isn’t just about dollars and cents; it’s about health, safety, and sometimes, even lives. Whether it is ensuring you have reliable access to critical data or ensuring that anomalies are identified and the right people alerted, our commitment to rock-solid reliability has never been stronger.
And the third lesson? Transparency. Yes, our clients are major employers and colossal corporations, but at the end of the day, it’s about people.
The teams who use our software are often making decisions based on fast-changing environments — just ask a mining company how critical workforce mobilisation software is in the path of a cyclone.
Those on the ground need to know they can pick up the phone if a hitch arises. We’ve worked hard to keep those lines of communication wide open.
At INX Software, we don’t just value these long-term, positive relationships with our clients, we celebrate them.
They’re what underpins our success and we are immensely proud to stand alongside our clients, helping to keep their businesses moving.
So here’s to lessons from the front line. We’re learning, we’re evolving. And we’re excited about the journey ahead.
