INX Software accelerates cloud-first strategy

INX Software has appointed digital transformation leader Matt Faries as its new Chief Technology Officer, as it accelerates its cloud-first product strategy.

Mr Faries has worked across sectors to drive digital transformation projects, from the development of magazine and classified websites, mobile apps, business intelligence and subscription tools for Bauer Media and Fairfax, to software, cloud infrastructure and shared technology platforms at Bankwest.

Most recently, he was responsible for performance and continuous improvement of information systems, security and application development at an ASX 200 company.

Chief Executive Marcus Ashby said Mr Faries brought a diverse understanding of customer experience, platform development, technology and change management to the role.

Our business is changing as our customer needs change, and our rapid acceleration of cloud-first products requires us to work in an agile way with our existing and potential markets,” he said.

INX Software is on a journey to reinvent and rethink how our products can help clients transform their businesses into a force for good in the communities they serve.

Matt will be instrumental in directing us on that journey and ensuring we meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.”

The company, backed by major shareholder in Tanarra Capital, has seen a 30 per cent growth in licensed users in the past 12 months, with more than a million users of its key product solutions and an 80 per cent increase in its research and development investment.

It has recently refreshed its executive leadership team, including the appointment of Mr Ashby as CEO and Jaimie Godden as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

INX Software’s growth in recent years has been fuelled by increased demands for environmental, health, safety and risk management software solutions across complex operations, and that demand is only going to continue to grow,” Mr Ashby said.

The Australian business community continues to lead the way in using technology for running, managing, coordinating and de-risking complex business operations, and INX is growing its support for clients through our workforce management software as a service solutions.”

Mr Faries said INX Software already led the way in helping Australian companies manage their businesses, creating safer, smarter and more sustainable workplaces, but there was significant potential for global expansion and scale.

This is an exciting moment to join INX, which is rapidly growing its software customer base in key markets such as North America, while also moving to a cloud-first business model,” he said.

I look forward to working with the team to accelerate the digital transformation taking place within our own business — as well as supporting our clients as they similarly transform their operations with products that protect the planet as well as people.”
